ACSIA® was founded in 1956 in Burlingame, California. In the early 1970's, the founder of the company began designing one of the first Long Term Care policies. Working with Fireman's Fund, ACSIA® began marketing the product in the western U.S. in 1974. During the following 35 years, the company expanded operations into major U.S.markets. Since 1974, the name "ACSIA®" and Long Term Care insurance have been linked as the company's agent force and in-force premium have grown.
Through the 2007 acquisition of Gelbwaks Insurance Services (GIS) unit, LTC Global has a strong brokerage team with over 39 years in the insurance industry. Gelbwaks Insurance Services has a national reputation for providing top quality sales support to a variety of insurance brokers in the life, annuity, and financial advisor communities.
Purchased by LTC Global in 2007, Senior Wealth Care Insurance Services was founded over 27 years ago out of Houston, Texas and has been focusing on senior market insurance products ever since. Senior Wealth Care's needs-based approach provides clients with a complete solution for their Long Term Care & retirement plans.
In November of 2008, LTC Global completed the acquisition of United Insurance Group Agency, Inc. (UIG), a life and health insurance agency based in Milford, Michigan, from Penn Treaty American Corporation. With 15 offices located throughout the United States, UIG is a leading national distributor of Medicare Advantage insurance products in addition to offering other senior market insurance products.
In September 2008, LTC Global aquired Personal Health Services, Inc., located at 300 Harleysville Pike in Souderton Pennsylvania. PHS has long been recognized as a leader in the Long Term Care insurance brokerage industry and a nationally ranked insurance agency and brokerage specializing in Long Term Care insurance and financial services, serving the residents of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York.
In 2009, LTC Global aquired The McAree Company, an insurance firm located in Braintree, Massachusetts, that focuses on Long Term Care insurance (LTCi) and executive benefit planning. The President of the company, Lisa McAree is a nationally recognized expert in LTCi. The McAree Company was founded in 1966 and entered the Long Term Care insurance market in 1989 at the forefront of the industry.
Throughout the years, the firm trained and supported over 1000 agents nationally in the education and sale of Long Term Care insurance for the individual and the corporate marketplace.
